  • Organize field data collection in the context of M & E in the Child Protection program including case management, research and reunification, community structure trainings and sensitization meetings;
  • Collect data from partners such as DUTABARANE on Villages Saving Loans Associations (VSLA), Income Generating Activities (AGR) and Familliy make the difference;
  • Contribute to the development of survey tools on child protection projects;
  • Design the input mask of collected data in an appropriate format;
  • Organize data entry, clean survey databases and process and analyze results;
  • Ensure data quality and help the Child Protection (CP) team verify the accuracy of the data collected at all stages of the program;
  • Organize focus groups with beneficiaries collect qualitative information on CP interventions and strengthening community structures;

Other responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of a complete M & E system for IRC Burundi,
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs.

Qualifications

  • Hold a degree in statistics, economics, social sciences or its equivalent in one of these fields;
  • Have at least two years of experience in project monitoring and evaluation, quantitative research methods, survey design and data analysis, preferably within an NGO. Having similar functions in assisting vulnerable people, children and youth is an asset;
  • Have strong experience in designing performance M & E plans, formulating indicators and building capacity,
  • Master the design of collection tools, conducting surveys, analyzing data and writing reports;
  • Master the data processing and analysis software such as STATA, SPSS, SAS, CSPro / EPI-info;
  • Have an excellent command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Internet Explorer, ...),
  • Have an excellent ability to write in French, ability to speak in English (oral and written) would be an asset.
